Waylon is a sweet and absolutely handsome pit / rottie mix. He is an absolute sweet heart and has stolen the heart of many. But, Waylon is still searching for that perfect person to take him home forever. He was found in a mall parking lot in Jackson, MS with a one eyed dog, named Willie. This sweet girl is Agitha, and she is available for adoption in Jackson, MS at Community Animal Rescue & Adoption (CARA). Agitha has had a bit of a hard life. She was found as a tiny puppy in a dog fighting case and was saved and brought to CARA. She was a bait pup that made it out, unlike so many others. Despite her difficult past, she is an absolute sweetheart with a whole lot of love to give. She absolutely loves people, but can be picky with dogs. She was once adopted out as a tiny puppy, but returned to the shelter, which left her confused and scared. She has such a horrible past, and all I am trying to do is to find her a good home, so that she may forever know love and warmth. I am trying so hard to find this sweet girl a home because she truly deserves it. I love her with all my heart, and as a foster mom, I couldn’t be more proud of the progress she’s made. I am just waiting for the right people to come along. One day, this sweet girl will know a true forever home.

This is my pittie, Buddha - I rescued him from Miami Dade Animal Services a year and a half ago and we’ve been living it up ever since. Here in Miami we have ridiculous BSL that make pitbulls and their mixes illegal, and luckily thanks to someone fudging his paperwork at the local animal shelter I was able to keep him here. Since then we’ve been traveling around helping spread the word about how great these dogs can be, and showing people the other side of the pitbull story. He’s been from Key West to Connecticut across to Milwaukee and down to New Orleans where we recently walked in the 2013 Barkus parade for Mardi Gras. I do a photo set on my tumblr (along with all my other amateur photography) called Buddha Takes a Walk - Pitbulls Take a Stand showing him posing in front of famous places around the states, marking where we’ve been to help dispel the vicious dog myth. In two months we are both moving to South Africa to continue our adventures there.
